Tangalla Beaches

A 6 hr bus ride and 2 bus changes to get me  from Ella to Tangalla, on the Southern coast, cost 220R/£1.10. I don't mind the buses. It's not like I'm in a rush. The thing I hate is driving super fast. My bus today was blasting Singhalese music, whilst bombing down the road during the entire ride so I ended up a bit queasy with a thumping headache.

I am now at Sansala guesthouse which is right next to Goyambokka beach, west from Tangalla centre.  It is really beautiful here and I can hear the crash of the waves and birds tweeting. There are peacocks here too, but I have yet to see one. There isn't a lot around here, except beaches, which suits me. I can sit, read and do very little else.

I headed down to the beach and I was almost the only person there. It was glorious. Not calm snorkelling waters, which I'm a bit disappointed about as I've been carrying my mask and snorkel all this time, but it's still swimable and lovely and warm.
