My final morning in Galle and I went for breakfast with Shaffy again after doing errands, which meant dropping in on his friends. Lots of 'As-salamu alaykum' He is a popular man around here. I keep trying to pay but he keeps saying 'No, you are my guest'
We had String Hoppers and egg Roti with an assortment of curries, all eaten by hand. It was really good, but a bit too carb fest.
After saying our farewells I headed out to the railway station for my final journey by public transport to Colombo.

I am staying in the Grand Oriental Hotel, an old historic hotel with British colonial style. It makes me think if the hotel from the film 'Grand Budapest Hotel' It was once probably very grand but its a bit outdated now, but I think thats part of its charm. I have decided to splash out and get a nice hotel with a/c for my final night. It is costing me £50, which is money well spent if you ask me.
I remember watching a food travel programme a few years back and they talked about a place called the 'Ministry of Crab' and I always said to myself if I ever get to Sri Lanka I have to go. And guess what? It is only a 7 min walk from my hotel so I had a great late lunch at The Ministry of Crab.
